Mobile Physiotherapy & Allied Health — Blacktown

In-home physiotherapy and allied health in Blacktown — for NDIS participants, aged care residents and people recovering at home.

Blacktown is one of the most diverse suburbs in Sydney and one of the busiest hubs for healthcare in the west. Blacktown Hospital is a major referrer to community-based allied health, and a big part of our Blacktown work comes from people recently home after an admission. The other big slice is paediatric and family work — Blacktown has a lot of young families, and a lot of children with NDIS plans.

Our Castle Hill clinic is 15–20 minutes from most Blacktown addresses, so the mobile team is usually the better answer unless you specifically want clinic equipment. Either way, we’re here six days a week.

Paediatric NDIS work in Blacktown

A meaningful share of our Blacktown bookings is paediatric physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology for children with NDIS plans. Sometimes the sessions happen at home, sometimes at school, sometimes both. We coordinate with whichever Support Coordinator the family is working with, write reports for plan reviews, and try to make sure the family deals with one intake email rather than three.

For first-time NDIS parents, the system is bewildering. We can walk you through the funding categories, what a Functional Capacity Assessment is, when to ask for one, and what to expect in your next plan meeting. The conversation is part of the service; you don’t need to come in already fluent in NDIS-speak.

Post-discharge from Blacktown Hospital

Blacktown Hospital’s outpatient lists can be long, and going home with a script for physio doesn’t mean the next clinic appointment is anywhere close. We pick up post-discharge work in the gap — sometimes as a bridge until the outpatient appointment comes through, sometimes as the full course of community rehab.

A lot of those referrals come from people whose first language isn’t English. Where that affects the appointment, we book a TIS National interpreter at no cost. The clinical decision-making happens in the patient’s strongest language, not whichever one a family member happens to be available to translate.

FAQ

Common questions from Blacktown families

Can you see my child at school instead of at home?

Often yes, especially when the goals involve school routines, classroom participation or playground skills. We need the school’s consent and a brief teacher chat to coordinate, but most schools across Blacktown are happy to work with us.

Do you visit Mount Druitt and Doonside?

Yes — both are within the standard Blacktown catchment. We also visit Quakers Hill, Schofields, Glenwood and the Ponds from the same area.

How quickly can you start for a new NDIS referral?

We aim for an intake call within one business day and a first visit within a week, depending on which discipline is needed and whether sessions are weekdays or weekends.

Can the same provider cover physio, OT and speech?

Yes. Many of our Blacktown participants use all three disciplines through us. One intake form, shared notes, one provider to manage.
